Are you looking for the best way to lose body fat? I’ll begin with a short story about me.
I had become somewhat frustrated with my excess fat, how I looked in the mirror and my lack of confidence It was also affecting relationships with other people.
To come out on ‘the other side’, not only 40lbs lighter, but with renewed energy and self-belief was a life changing event.
I can’t guarantee that what I am about to tell you will change your life. I simply don’t know if you are going to take action and follow through to completion. That is in your hands, not mine.
My role is to provide you with the support and the strategies that I followed to create my lean body – possibly it’s the best way to lose body fat.
Here are 5 key steps that you should follow if you are confused about fat loss, despondent about the way you look and struggling for consistency in your daily battle to burn fat fast:
1. Have absolute certainty that you need to change. Without that cast iron certainty, there is just no way that you will follow through. Believe me, it can’t be a half-hearted attempt hoping that you will succeed. That’s not enough. It needs to be more committed and explicit than that. You need 100% certainty.
2. You need goals and a plan to achieve them – failing to plan is planning to fail. You need to define what the end game is and how you are going to get there. You need to know the best way to lose body fat for you. How much weight do you want to lose? Do you have a deadline by when you want to lose it? Your goals need to be realistic but also have stretch applied to them. If you need to lose a significant amount of weight, then you need to ‘chunk’ – break the bigger goal into smaller goals. These goals will be more achievable and demonstrate that you are making progress.
3. “Success is a few simple disciplines practised every day”. This is a great quote from the late and great Jim Rohn. To eat healthily and to eat excercise regularly you need to develop great habits and apply daily consistency. Without consistency, you will fail – you will quickly go back to the way you were. Now it doesn’t take me to tell you that this may not be the best way to lose body fat. Creating good habits takes time. Don’t expect overnight success. There may be times where you fall off the wagon. The key is not to despair. Understand what you are trying to achieve and why – regroup, refocus and get back to applying consistency to your daily routine.
4. The best way to burn fat fast is to eat healthy foods. You should be targeting balanced meals of lean protein, complex carbohydrates and healthy fats. Don’t forget the vegetables and fruit too. You should be eating 5-6 small portioned meals every day. Restricting calorie intake is counter-productive. Restrictive diets slow down your body’s metabolism causing you to store fat rather than burn it! To keep your metabolism elevated at all times you should eat regular small meals – it’s great for burning fat.
5. Isn’t it time you got active may be 3-4 times every week? I don’t mean stepping on a treadmill and plodding along at low intensity for 30 minutes. That’s not the best way to lose body fat. What I am talking about here is high intensity resistance training and high intensity interval training. Let me explain further. High intensity exercise keeps your workouts to less than 30 minutes, but more importantly keeps your metabolism elevated for up to 48 hours. In addition, resistance training creates muscle. This not only makes you look great, but also raises your metabolism at rest. Basically more muscle means more calories burned at rest. It’s the best way to lose body fat.
So there it is – the best way to lose body fat in 5 steps. Now it’s your turn. You have a decision to make. Do you have absolute certainty that you need to transform your body or are you going to just simply ignore this article?
