The resistance to rowing is attained by utilizing an intelligently designed flywheel that is a good deal like a manual fan. The flywheel is confined in an appropriately designed housing for safety reasons. You will be able to change the resistance for tougher or less challenging rowing. If you are thinking this is something that will create noise, then that is not the case since this exercise machine is very quiet. Since the flywheel is a lot like a fan, obviously you will pick up a gentle swirling sound. This moving air sound from the flywheel assembly is identical to a fan that is running very slowly.
