I am strong advocate of high intensity training whether it is resistance training or interval training. Allow me to explain what I mean. High intensity exercise keeps your workouts to less than 30 minutes, but more importantly keeps your metabolism elevated for up to 48 hours. Resistance training also creates muscle. This not only makes you look great, but also raises your metabolism at rest. The bottom line is that more muscle means more calories burned whilst resting. It’s the best way to lose body fat.
